Apra Indiana Professional Development Fund

The Apra Indiana Professional Development Fund was established in October 2019 to provide additional funds available for Apra Indiana members (including Board members) to attend professional development opportunities.

To be eligible for a professional development grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be an Apra Indiana member for one full calendar year at the time of application.

Submit an application (available online) stating the need and use of the funds.

Submit a newsletter article following the professional development activity.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis, provided that funds remain. Applications must be received by Apra Indiana at least 2 months prior to the starting date of the professional development event, in accordance with the application deadlines listed below.

Applications will be reviewed by the Apra Indiana President, Treasurer, and two other members of the Apra Indiana membership on a quarterly basis according to the following schedule:

Applicants will be eligible to receive reimbursement up to $500 in the calendar year between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 for one professional development opportunity. Granted funds may only be used for expenses related to the professional development opportunity. Apra Indiana will not be responsible for any booking fees, but will reimburse the applicant after proper documentation is provided. Types of covered expenses include:

Travel expenses – mileage, hotel or flight only, does not include incidentals or food/drink.
Online workshops and webinars fees
Registration fees for conferences/seminars

Costs for certification/re-certification (where departmental funding is not available)
