Session Description

We all face challenges in our everyday work, regardless if we are in fundraising or prospect research. This session is not only a great opportunity to learn more about each panelist's unique background, but also will allow audience members to appreciate the common challenges we all face trying to raise money for our respective organizations. Our panelists represent small and large shops at various higher education organizations and non-profits to showcase all the successful work in the industry and provide ideas to take back to your shop. 

Event Etiquette & Mastering the Art of Speed Networking

Session Description

Anthony Cawdron, event coordinator for Purdue University President Mitch Daniels, will be leading attendees through an interactive experience focused on etiquette tips and mastering the art of speed networking. The first part of the session will focus on key advice for navigating social situations, then attendees will get the chance to practice what they learned while enjoying desserts and coffee. Both Introverts and extroverts will greatly benefit from this session!

Setting Realistic Expectations for Fundraisers and Prospect Researchers

Session Description

What does a successful relationship look like between a fundraiser and a researcher? How do you set realistic expectations as you work toward achieving long-term departmental goals with high fundraising goals. These speakers will focus on how Marian University is working to establish systems and processes as they focus on their long term campaign goal.
